Editorial Policies

The Arab Journal of Administrative Sciences publishes research that develops tests, applications, or advances in management and administrative theory and practice. The scope of acceptable articles and research notes embraces all types of research methodology and subjects related to management and administrative sciences, as long as the articles or research notes meet the standards established for publication in the Journal. For a manuscript to be accepted for publication, the research topics should be of interest to the readership; the research should be well-designed and well-executed, and the material presented effectively and efficiently. All manuscripts submitted should be screened before being sent to reviewers. Those considered inappropriate will be returned promptly to the sender. Manuscripts that pass the initial screening will be sent to two reviewers for evaluation using a double-blind review procedure. All papers are also subjected to editorial review, which covers style, quality of communication, and academic content. The editor makes every effort to give a decision on manuscripts as soon as possible.

Guidelines for Submission

1. Authors should send an e-mail file attachment to:ajas@ku.edu.kw.
2. A letter to the editor accompanying every submission should contain a statement that the manuscript or a similar one has not been published and is not, nor will it be, under consideration for publication elsewhere while being reviewed by the Journal.
3. The cover page of the paper should list the name, title, affiliation, telephone number(s), and complete address of each author. To assure an anonymous review, authors should not identify themselves directly or indirectly elsewhere in their manuscripts. The cover page should also state no such acknowledgments.
4. Manuscripts should be submitted in Arabic/English, typed in double-spaced, 12-point font (Times New Roman preferred) with 1-inch (2.5 cm) margins in Word, not as PDFs. The number of words should be between 8,000-10,000 words counts including references, appendices, tables, and figures. A manuscript should be as the subject and research method permits.
5. In the case of a manuscript reporting on field surveys or experiments, a copy of the instrument (questionnaire, case, interview plan, or the like) should be submitted.
6. Author(s) should check their manuscripts for typos and grammatical errors before submitting them to the journal.
7. Manuscripts that do not follow submission guidelines will be returned to the submitting author for reformatting.
