The Structure of a Manuscript Submitted to AJAS

(All Articles files should be submitted in Microsoft word format)

1. Cover Page:
Contains the paper's title, the author's name, affiliation address, phone number, e-mail, and the day's date.

2. Abstract:
The abstracts (English & Arabic) should contain the following points between 150-250 words counts.
Study design/methodology/approach:
Sample and data:
Research limitations/implications:
Keywords: 3 to 5 keywords
JEL classification: Identify the proper JEL classification https://www.aeaweb.org/jel/guide/jel.php

3. Introduction:
Throughout the Introduction section, existing literature in relation to the contribution of the submitted research paper should be addressed. In the beginning, the topic should be introduced and the context of the submitted research paper should be clearly described. The submitted research paper should explain:  
1. How it fits with existing research on the topic.
2. The role of existing literature in the submitted manuscript and what is completely new about the concept of the submitted manuscript. Explain what gaps you found in the literature, and why the submitted manuscript intends to fill them.   
Once the motivation and role of the submitted research paper are addressed, the purpose and the research questions should be clearly described.

4. Literature Review and Hypotheses Development/Research Questions:
This section is devoted to a) reviewing and summarizing prior studies on a topic of interest, and b) stating formal hypotheses/research questions. Hypotheses/research questions should be drawn from a grounded theory, built on previous research, or strong arguments.

5. Research methods:
The research methods section provides a detailed description of the data collection and methodology employed. Models (e.g., regression) should be well addressed and variables (dependent variables, independent variables, and control variables) should be clearly defined. The utilization of the chosen variables and relationships should be justified. In the case of quantitative approaches, researchers should add a “ construct validity” section, to determine how well a test measures what it is supposed to measure.

6. Research results:
This section catalogs the findings of the research methods and the interpretation of the findings. The findings should be presented in a clear and unbiased way. The interpretation and discussion of the results should be precise and reasonable.

7. Conclusion:
The conclusion should briefly address the research question and key findings and contributions. It should also reinforce the major claims or interpretations. Further, it should discuss study implications and limitations and suggest ideas for future research.
